Description

The John Howard Society of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon Branch has a leadership opportunity for a highly motivated and innovative professional as the Director of Judicial Programs located in Saskatoon and Prince Albert.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible to provide coordination and support in the development and delivery of a continuum of focused in the area of justice related services. Using a restorative justice lens, you will be responsible for:
Budget planning and oversight;
Justice related programs including, but not limited to, Community Reintegration, Fine Option and Community Service, Crime Prevention, Institutional support, and advocacy ;
Facilitating collaborative relationships with colleagues, clients, funding partners,  ministry representatives and other CBOs;
Ensuring the highest standard of case management;
Program development and implementation, and
Meeting program outcome measures and contract compliance.

This position will also coordinate the recruitment of in-scope staff, ensuring the selection process assesses critical skills for case management, and supervision of staff. This includes coordinating the overall staffing, assessment and selection process in addition to other human resource functions as required, in collaboration with the Human Resources Administrator.

The knowledge and competencies for this position would be acquired through a Bachelors degree in the human services sector, or related experience and knowledge in the justice sector. Experience managing in a unionized environment is an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

Travel is required with this position.
