The Regional Service Manager will be responsible for Fire & Life Services in the Prairies. The incumbent will ensure profitability in the region by maximizing labour efficiencies & controlling service expenses.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide leadership & guidance to Supervisors
Requires understanding of core Service Offerings such as: VFSS services, Respiratory , Instrumentation , Fall Arrest, & Engineered Fire Systems
Ensure services are implemented, performed, & reported in accordance with company policies, customers requirements &local authorities
Develop business plans &objectives for Supervisors to meet overall regional & national objectives
Work closely with Sales & Customer Service to ensure a coordinated approach to meet customer needs & achieving Service objectives
Manage all subcontractors to quality service & support
Coordinate with & provide support to Inside Sales, CPQ personnel, BDMs & MSMs to develop effective marketing campaigns, provide quotes, & conduct joint sales calls
Manage Service Supervisors & Technicians in the region to achieve consistency in service
Promote safety awareness through coaching, safety audits & safety meetings
Work closely with the VP of Services to prepare annual service budgets & manage to these budgets
Regular overnight & extended travel to service operations in Saskatoon, Regina, & Winnipeg at a min of once per month.
QUALIFICATIONS
College degree or diploma in Business Management or equivalent experience
A min of 7 yrs exp in the Fire Services industry with at least five years managing/supervising Technicians
Strong leadership & coaching skills
Self-motivated & results orientated. Capable of moving easily between operating details & broader service objectives
Ability to meet tight timelines & adapt to changing priorities
Intermediate to advanced level computer skills
Ability to travel for extended &overnight stays by air or by vehicle.
