Description

The role of the Intermediate Network Engineer involves the design, deployment, troubleshooting and support of high-quality, high-impact network solutions for a wide array of clients, as part of an existing advanced network team. Strong communications and teamwork skills are essential to adapt quickly to varying situations that exist with clients from the mining, medical, research, and financial sectors, among others.

Qualifications and Skills:
- 3+ years in a related position
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering or related field will be considered an asset
- CCNP Route/Switch preferred
- The candidate must have a strong understanding of IP routing and switching theory, TCP/UDP protocol operations, L2 frame and L3 packet forwarding, etc
- Strong skills with Cisco routing and switching platforms, including ISR and ASR routers, and Catalyst, Nexus, and Industrial Ethernet switches
- Strong skills with Cisco ASA firewalls
- Strong skills with OSPF and EIGRP dynamic routing protocols
- Strong skills with Cisco Meraki MX and MS platforms
-Strong skills around RADIUS for remote access VPN and wireless authentication
- Strong skills with IPSec site-to-site VPN
- Familiar with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers
- Familiar with Cisco UCS servers
- Strong skills with HP or Dell switching is valuable
- Strong skills with other firewall platforms is valuable
- AWS networking skills are valuable
- VMware vSPhere 5.5  6.5 skills are valuable
- Any familiarity with industrial protocol such as MODBUS, PROFINET, CIP, BACNet is valuable
