Meewasin Valley Authority is looking for a new leader to help establish a renewed vision and role for the MVA in guiding the future of our cherished river valley into the next century. We are seeking a dynamic and strategically connected CEO who can build on the legacy of partnership and innovation that has created an internationally acclaimed model of success for river stewardship.

OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO is the MVAs chief staff officer, leading the strategic mission and vision of the organization.  The CEO will lead planning, the organizations proactive engagement to meet the needs of its public and funding partners, and support the Board of Directors. The CEO serves as the face of Meewasin, acting as a community leader and advocate for Meewasin, and as the senior leader of a professional management team, staff, and volunteers. The CEO collaborates closely with municipal and provincial governments, the University of Saskatchewan and other stakeholders. The CEO must have a history of successful fund development in a dynamic funding environment.

This position is a unique opportunity for a creative community leader that enjoys building collaborative relationships, engaging the community, and advocating on key issues that will support conservation, development and education in the Meewasin Valley. This person will be a positive leader, strong communicator and creative visionary who is passionate about making the MVA thrive in the context of its high public popularity and relevance.
