EXPERIENCED TRAVEL CONSULTANT, 18 - MONTHS TERM POSITION
The incumbent of this position will work under the guidance of the Manager, Saskatoon East Office, and will be responsible for handling all aspects of an experienced travel consultant position.
Responsibilities:
- Providing quality customer service, as initial contact for incoming phone calls and office visits from clients.
- Assessing the needs and providing travel information to individuals or groups, regarding destinations, transportation, accommodation options, travel costs and recommendation of ancillary products, such as travel insurance, merchandise etc.
- Create and assemble all travel documentation for passengers.
- Ability to work closely with travel partners and service providers.
Experience/Requirements:
- Travel related designation would be an asset for this position.
- Multiple years of experience with individual and or group travel, cruise lines and airlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage several projects concurrently, while paying great attention to detail.
- Superior interpersonal skills, with the ability to problem solve and work under pressure of imminent deadlines.
- Exceptional customer service and communications skills, a team player with the proven ability to multi-task; organize and excellent record of planning, development and sales of travel experiences.
- Experience selling travel insurance.
- The ability to be self-motivated and to work independently is critical for this position.
- Experience in the Apollo system would be advantageous.
