Purpose of the Position:
The Community Relations Coordinator (CRC) is responsible for communications and marketing, event planning, volunteer resources, administrative support and fundraising. Within these responsibilities the coordinator will plan, organize, implement and evaluate a broad range of initiatives both locally and regionally. All actions will fall in line with South West Crisis Services (SWCS) Mission, Vision and Values to increase awareness of interpersonal violence issues, increase usage of services and increase financial contributions. The CRC is also part of the SWCS leadership team and therefore will be required to provide rotational back-up support to Safe Shelter Support Workers. The Community Relations Coordinator will often work jointly with the Executive Director.
The CRC will have a split role with 80% of the employeess time being spent on communications and marketing, event planning, volunteer resources and administrative support and 20% of the individualss time being spent on fundraising.
