Description

Do you enjoy working with a wide variety of people of varying ability levels?  Are you prepared to work evenings and weekends on a casual on-call basis?  Do you have a valid class 4 license or better?  

You will be responsible for operating Ford E450 Bus and must maintain an effective rapport with riders.  


Duties and Responsibilities

1.    Provide safe and courteous transportation for persons with disabilities.
2.    Maintain and provide accurate records of trips, fares and ticket sales.
3.    Screen riders for eligibility to utilize service.
4.    Report irregularities to Dispatcher such as accidents, delays in trips and passenger complaints.
5.    Inform Dispatcher of mechanical problems with bus.
6.    Ensure that the buses are kept clean at all times.
7.    Assist with the scheduling of passenger trips.
8.    Advise Dispatcher when you are clear.
9.    Other duties as assigned.
10.    Medicals are required before hiring.


Qualifications

    Must hold a clear and valid driver's license of proper Class 4 classification. Must have a suitable criminal record check.
    Must be familiar with the city.  
    Possess good interpersonal skills and have the ability to relate to people with disabilities.
    Must be physically capable of assisting passengers as required to carry out the duties of the service.

 - Deal with difficult passengers and resolve conflicts

 - Complete logbooks and reports
