Siemens Transportation Group Inc. requires a Director of Information Systems at their Head Office in Saskatoon, SK.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop all business systems, (hardware and software), and to look for ways to improve the companys information management.
- Assist all staff at head office and branches regarding computer usage and problem resolution
- Recruit, orientate, train and supervise employees
- Check outstanding issues, review helpdesk items with IS staff
- Coordinate all approved programming projects and work with Vendor through beta testing, quality control, documentation, research and recommend new technologies implementation and to integrate into existing infrastructure.
- Approve IT related invoice/purchases (i.e.) phones, data, third party
Qualifications
Administrative
- Excellent management and project skills
- Budgeting skills
- Planning and development skills
- Leadership abilities
- Good communication skills oral and written
- Experience with wide area networks
- Understanding of systems in a complex multicompany environment
- Transportation experience not necessary but
preferred
Technical
- DB2
- SQL Server
- MS - Windows Service 2003
- Apache Web Server
- LINUX
- IBM E Server/SAN System
- Microsoft Office
