THE POSITION
This position is full time and located in Muskeg Lake. The individual we are seeking possesses an ability to work from both a community development/support framework perspective and a prevention perspective.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform effective family support services including:
Providing counseling, support services and/or referral services;
Working with families to develop case plans to strengthen the families;
Advocating for children to be placed with extended family when possible;
Developing a plan for each child and providing support to caregivers.
Work with the CFS team to implement the principle It takes a community to raise a child.
Shall manage a caseload of families that are involved in the family court setting
Shall be in attendance at all family court appearances to assist families, advocate for families and represent the band
Work as a liaison and advocate for families involved in the family court setting
