Description

BASIC PURPOSE:  
    The Purchasing Team Leader will provide leadership to the purchasing team and develop the Bourgault supply chain to provide the correct part, at the right quality, at the right time, at the right place for the best possible cost.  
    Work closely with production planning, strategic sourcing specialists, QA, warehouse, and R&D engineering to achieve the companys objectives.  
DUTIES:  
    Provide coaching and development to the purchasing team on the standard sourcing processes and supplier relationship management.
    Utilize best practices with respect to operations management,risk mitigation,supplier selection and development.  
    Manage and approve the purchasing of raw materials, purchased parts, shop supplies and freight expenditures.  
    Negotiate the procurement of materials, manage suppliers, manage the inbound logistics, and to reduce the total purchase costs to the company without a reduction in product or service quality.  
    Resolve quality issues and supplier rejections.
    Develop supplier operating policy and procedures with domestic and international suppliers.  
    Ensure supply chain freight forwarder/customs compliance.
    Ensure the data integrity of our ERP system.
    Work closely with the strategic sourcing specialists on initiatives and commodity cost reduction strategies.
    Analyse, report and effectively manage supplier product rejections.
    Continually grow market and commodity knowledge through research, supplier discussions, continual education, and maintaining a network of industry contacts.
You must have:
    Proven Negotiation Skills.
    Sound leadership skills and the ability to influence & motivate people.
    A post-secondary degree or diploma or SCMA training (Technical or Business)
    Advanced Excel, Word and Power Point.
    A willingness to travel to supplier locations.  
    Project management skills
    Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
