Description

Wood is providing Concrete Field/Lab Staff for the Keeyask Hydroelectric Project, a 695 megawatt hydroelectric development located approximately 725 km north of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Currently recruiting Junior, Intermediate & Senior Construction Materials Technicians with academic training &/or experience in conducting CSA standard laboratory & field test methods on concrete & concrete aggregates. Candidates will be required to mobilize to the Keeyask site on a shift rotation basis with an expected duration of between 4 to 8 months. Dayshift & nightshift assignments will apply. Mobilization costs to & from the site will be compensated. Accommodations & required PPE will be provided. We offer competitive salary packages commensurate w/ education & relevant work experience. Key Responsibilities
    Conducting concrete laboratory / field tests & preparing test reports
    Communicating effectively within a laboratory & field team environment
    Calibrating, maintaining & repairing testing equipment
    Adhering to all Site Safety Absolutes & working safely in accordance with Wood & Site Health & Safety programs
Skills / Qualifications
    Must have completed academic training in a Civil Technology program or have work experience that demonstrates the knowledge & experience to perform the work
    Will be required to have certification as a Field Technician &/or qualification as a Laboratory Technician in accordance with CSA Concrete Laboratory - Category 0 Certification (ACI certification would also be acceptable & previous CCIL certification may also be considered)
    Must have a valid drivers license & must be able to pass regular Drug & Alcohol & Medical screening as required for Site Access
