At Airport Animal Hospital our Veterinary Student Program is designed for veterinary students who want to experience real-world learning in a clinical setting. You will spend your time working with an experienced veterinary team to gain confidence in your technical abilities and develop interpersonal skills.
In order to ensure sustainable companion animal veterinarians for the future, Airport Animal Hospital is committed to the training of future DVM's. As a full service veterinary hospital we include services such as providing examinations for cats and dogs, vaccinations, surgeries (including spays and neuters), therapy laser treatments, dental procedure, lab work, x-rays, pharmacy prescriptions and refills, among many other services that you would be exposed to.
Under the supervision of the Doctor team, you will work as a veterinary assistant in a supportive team environment. You will learn to perform a physical exam, provide proper veterinary care, use diagnostic labs and interpret diagnostics effectively, learn surgical prep and monitoring, and grow your professional interpersonal skills.

- Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian
- Produce diagnostic radiographs, collect samples and perform other laboratory tests
