Position and Responsibilities
You will assist the Cigar Lake environment department with inspections, water sampling and sample preparation, data entry and review, as well as participate in special projects. The successful candidates will work a term of approximately four months (May to August). Duties include a blend of field and office work, with the majority of time spent in the field.
Education and Qualifications
Preference will be given to students currently enrolled in a science-based post-secondary education program, although students enrolled in any post-secondary program will be considered.
You possess good communication and computer skills. A valid class five drivers licence is required. You must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco.
Cigar Lake summer student positions are designated for Athabasca Residents in accordance with the YaThi Nn collaboration agreement.
You will work a fourteen day-in/fourteen day-out shift schedule rotation commuting to the site by aircraft.
