Eden Japanese Restaurant (DBA: Wasabi Sushi & Teriyaki House) serves Japanese foods in Regina, SK. Currently we are looking for a quality cook to join our restaurant. All applicants that seek a long term employment are welcome; including aboriginals and new immigrants, etc. The hourly wage for this position shall be $ 15.

Duties and responsibilities:
    Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
    Create high quality Japanese food such as sashimi, sushi, and rolls.
    Responsible for the production and have knowledge and competency of Maki sushi, Nigiri sushi, and Sashimi.
    Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies.
    Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
    Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
    Order supplies and equipment.
    Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
    Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
    Manage kitchen operations.

Requirements:
    A minimum of 2 years of work experience in cooking.
    Fast-paced environment/Handling heavy loads/Work under pressure/Repetitive tasks/Standing for extended periods/Overtime required/Physically demanding/Attention to detail
    Must be team player, flexible, reliable, and organized
    Japanese cooking experience is to be preferred.
    Applicants who can work for at least one year are to be preferred.
    Full-time job seekers are to be preferred.
