The Admin Support 1 will provide administrative support to Planning & Development. This position is responsible for administrative duties, including: scanning, photocopying, filing documents and assisting with planning related duties. The successful incumbent must be able to deal effectively with the public as well as internal staff. This position may be assigned alternate duties on occasion.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
Enrollment in a related field of study including: Applied Land Use, Planning would be preferred; candidate must be currently enrolled as a student in a post-secondary institution and returning the subsequent academic year.
Basic knowledge of planning and development legislation would be considered an asset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including: Outlook, Word and Excel.
Strong attention to detail; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in: grammar, editing and proofreading.
Ability to work collaboratively with fellow colleagues on projects.
This position is contingent on receiving an acceptable criminal record check prior to employment.
