This role is accountable for the following: establish and implement the vision and strategic direction for information and analytic services, consult and collaborate in meeting clients data and analytic needs, maintain and improve data quality, develop and maintain the foundational infrastructure for data and information management, and ensure data is integrated, stored, protected, and disseminated to support decision-making within the health system.
Working in this type environment calls for very strong written and verbal communications skills to establish and implement a compelling tactical vision and to engage and lead teams. The environment is fast-paced, so you'll need to be adaptive to an ever-changing schedule without losing sight of the end goal supporting improved citizen health experiences by providing useful, safe and secure electronic information and services.
Previous experience in a leadership role is highly valued; but the knowledge, understanding, and experience in leading teams through change is a necessity. You will have demonstrated knowledge of eHealth programs, a tendency to be strategic and systems thinking in your approach, a demonstrated ability and flair for engaging teams, and a drive for consistently delivering sustainable results.
Qualifications of the ideal candidate would include:
* eHealth, IT, and/or Health sector experience;
* knowledge of IT integration within healthcare at a provincial level;
* knowledge of the importance of data analytics, information management, data quality, and data integration;
* effective people leadership abilities;
* excellent verbal and written communications skills;
* experience with mediation techniques;
* policy and/or program evaluation;
* high level initiative and problem-solving abilities;
* public sector budgeting and decision-making processes;
