ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
Greet customers and assist with sales, returns, exchanges; offer alternatives if stock is unavailable
Process payments (cash, cheques, direct debit, charge); close out at the end of the day
Maintain current knowledge of products
Operate a computerized inventory system
Estimate or quote prices
Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
WORKING CONDITIONS
Front order desk
Weekdays; daytime
Occasional overtime
Extensive computer and phone use, some sitting and standing
Must be able to lift 40-50 lbs. on a regular basis
Fast paced environment
QUALIFICATIONS
2-3 years experience with industrial supplies; knowledge of hydraulics an asset
Show initiative and have a great attitude
Accurate with attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills; maintain professional presentation
Excellent time management, problem solving, multitasking and communication skills
Teamwork and flexibility
Able to work under pressure, with tight timelines
