The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Environment Division has an immediate opening for an Air Quality Specialist. As the ideal candidate, you will provide technical expertise, guidance and leadership as an integral member of our Air Quality team.
Accountabilities
Oversee and participate in the maintenance, calibration, data management and QA/QC for ambient air monitoring stations
Conduct leading-edge air monitoring projects for our clients
Lead and conduct facility air emissions audits
Evaluate developing air monitoring technologies and participate in technology demonstration and verification projects
Liaise with clients as a key technical expert to establish service requirements and develop reports
Support other air quality programs and services as required (stack sampling, indoor air, dispersion modelling, etc.)
Qualifications
Engineering degree (chemical or environmental), or applicable environmental sciences
5+ years of experience in air emissions monitoring and data analysis
Experience in the maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting and repair of ambient air monitoring instruments
Air modelling and leak detection and repair expertise are an asset
Familiarity with stack sampling reports and methodologies is an asset

Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to internal and external clients

The chosen candidate may be required to successfully pass alcohol and drug-screening tests as a condition of meeting site specific standards.
