Job Title: Swimming Pool Manager
The Whitewood Swimming Pool is looking for a qualified, energetic and motivated Swimming Pool Manager with up to date certificates including CPR/First Aid with AED Training, their National Lifeguard Award and Water Safety Instructor or Lifesaving Instructor certificate. Position Reports to: Town of Whitewood Facility Operations Manager, Town of Whitewood Chief Administrative Officer Anticipated Start/End Date: June, 2018 long weekend in September. Location: At the outdoor seasonal Whitewood Swimming Pool in Whitewood, Saskatchewan. Wage: Starting at $15.00 - $18.00/hr, based on qualifications (Max wage includes current NLS qualification, Water Safety Instructor or Lifesaving Instructor Certificate to teach swimming lessons, at least 1 year of experience as a head lifeguard.)
Job Responsibilities
Complete daily tasks including; documenting water chemistry levels at the pool and spray park, following opening and closing procedures, routine cleaning duties and equipment checks, collecting admissions and filling out daily financial logs Supervise staff on a day-to-day basis and report any potential issues Keep track of lifeguard schedule and lifeguard hours worked
Ensure lifeguard hours are submitted for each pay period Maintain positive public relations with the community Supervise swimmers and enforce pool rules Provide a safe environment for the facility users Maintain positive and ongoing communication with the Facility Operations Manager Organize and complete swimming lesson, lesson plans Provide high quality swimming lessons to all registrants following Red Cross or Lifesaving Society guidelines Complete a review of the Whitewood Swimming Pool Aquatic Safety Plan and submit a list of proposed changes/updates Plan and organize a fundraiser for the swimming pool
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
Education: Must be a student returning to studies in the fall of 2018.
