EXPERIENCED TRAVEL CONSULTANT, 18 - MONTHS TERM POSITION
The incumbent of this position will work under the guidance of the Manager, Saskatoon East Office, and will be responsible for handling all aspects of a travel consultant position.
Responsibilities:
- Providing quality customer service, as initial contact for incoming phone calls and office visits from clients.
- Assessing the needs and providing travel information to individuals or groups, regarding destinations, transportation, accommodation options, travel costs and recommendation of ancillary products, such as travel insurance, merchandise etc.
- Create and assemble all travel documentation for passengers.
- Ability to work closely with travel partners and service providers.
Experience/Requirements:
- Travel related designation would be an asset for this position.
- Experience with individual and or group travel, cruise lines and airlines would be advantageous.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage several projects concurrently, while paying great attention to detail.
- Superior interpersonal skills, with the ability to problem solve and work under pressure of imminent deadlines.
- Exceptional customer service and communications skills, a team player with the proven ability to multi-task; organized and  record of planning, development and sales..
- Experience selling travel insurance, or willing to become licensed.
- The ability to be self-motivated and to work independently is critical for this position.
