City Wide Cabs is a long-standing company involved in the community of Swift Current and surrounding areas. As a company, our team works together to provide timely and professional service.
Looking for a personable, customer service-oriented person to fill our night shift taxi dispatch position. This will start out part time but is likely to turn into full time. The primary function is to effectively direct and dispatch taxis, making customer satisfaction the number one priority.
This will start as a contract position, meaning you get paid per call. The aim is to change over to a salaried position in the future as the company continues to grow.
While experience is preferred, well experienced owners and supervisors (and other team members) to help you in every facet of your job 24/7.
The dispatcher is often the first point of contact for customers to our company.
Mandatory for dispatchers are:
Speak and write fluent English and communicate clearly
Strong listening and communication skills including on the phone and on the radio
Detail oriented, organized, quick learner
Must be able to work independently, with little supervision in what can be a fast-paced environment
Familiar with the city of Swift Current and surrounding area
Good map reading abilities and/or ability to look up addresses on a GPS application
Good customer service skills
Ability to maintain composure under pressure and in high-stress situations
Punctual & good attendance record
Duties:
Taking taxi orders and delivery requests from customers
Dispatching trip information to drivers
Other duties as assigned

Experience is preferred but willing to train the right individuals
