Store Manager

Sobeys Liquor is offering an exciting opportunity to kick off your management career. Are you driven with a desire to lead your own team? Then we are looking for you to join our successful Store Management team.
Reporting to the District Operator, you will be responsible for running your own multi-million dollar business. You will lead a group of dedicated employees with direct accountability for setting the strategic direction and vision for the store.
As the Store Manager you will manage all areas of the store while ensuring operational excellence in merchandising and inventory management to best meet the needs of your customers. You will be responsible for all aspects of the store including: overseeing total store talent management, responding to local market needs and to your competition, creating a shopping experience that engages your customers, ensuring superior execution of retail commercial programs, and financial analysis of your sales and margins.
As the ideal candidate, you have excellent people and communication skills, strong knowledge of financial management, a focus and a passion for engaging your customer.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Related post-secondary education and/or a minimum of 2 to 5 years retail management experience. A combination of relevant experience and education will be considered
Above average communication skills (oral and written)
Full knowledge of retail operations
Proficient in use of Microsoft office suite
Relevant liquor knowledge is considered an asset
Knowledge of company programs, products, and standards is an asset
Serve It Right Saskatchewan (SIRS) Certification is an asset
Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation is considered an asset
