Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp Inc. is the world's first successful zero-effluent-discharge market pulp mill that is a state-of-the-art, chlorine-free bleached chemi-thermo mechanical pulp (BCTMP) facility.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Process Engineer will work closely with Technical and Operations personnel in conducting process monitoring and optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the operation on a daily basis
- Evaluate new or existing processes and equipment to further optimize production, quality and costs
- Perform in-process pulp properties testing for R&D purposes and troubleshooting as required
- Develop process control, testing, and sampling techniques necessary to control mill processes
- Review operating reports and recommend solutions to any deviations from control targets
- Assist with internal and external customer complaints, inquiries or requests as needed to help ensure that their specifications are met or exceeded
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Eligible for registration with APEGS as an Engineer-In-Training or Professional Engineer
- 2-3 years of experience working in an industrial facility is considered an asset
- Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skillscustomer focused
- A high sense of urgency with regards to operational requirements
