Description

The Ministry of Central Services, Property Management Branch, South region is seeking an individual to join their service team to provide a variety of maintenance duties in government facilities within Moosomin, Saskatchewan.

As a member of a service oriented team, you will draw upon proven maintenance experience and possess mechanical aptitude to perform minor repairs and maintenance such as unplugging toilets and drains, replacing valves, taps and washers, hanging shelves, dismantling walls and reassembling to meet client requests.  You will also perform checks to HVAC equipment (i.e. boiler checks, maintain logs and life safety equipment) ensuring safe operating standards are maintained and met.  In addition you will respond to client inquires and requests.

You will be responsible for providing a variety of grounds maintenance duties such as equipment repairs, blowing out water lines before freeze up, and snow removal.

You must be in good physical condition in order to perform a variety of manual activities.  The successful candidate will be required to operate heavy-duty cleaning equipment, climb ladders and lift heavy objects.

Candidates must possess a valid Fireman's Certificate or be willing to achieve the certificate within 6 months of employment, along with a valid driver's license.  

The successful candidate will have working knowledge of building operations, repairs and maintenance as well as working knowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools and practices of carpentry, plumbing and electrical systems.  You will also have the ability to perform minor building repairs and maintenance and the ability to inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair problems or equipment to restore operation.
