Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director, Instructional and Leadership Development Centre (ILDC), the successful candidate will work independently and as part of a provincial instructional team. The primary responsibility for the position is to assist in the development and training of new and experienced faculty. The position, as an integral part of the ILDC team, will be responsible for the scheduling, planning, and implementing instructional and leadership development activities, including (but not limited to) the New Instructor Orientation (NIO), Faculty Certificate Program (FCP), Great Teachers Seminar (GTS) and continuing professional development of Saskatchewan Polytechnic faculty. As a team member, you will also contribute to the development and maintenance of a newsletter and ILDC Website.
Qualifications:
1. Master of Education degree or relevant graduate degree with an ability to instruct Bachelor level courses in Adult Education.
2. Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of facilitation techniques, evaluation, educational technology, adult development and learning and active methods in teaching.
3. Minimum two years teaching experience at a post-secondary institution employing and modeling active learning techniques in teaching and learning.
4.You will be required to successfully complete the Faculty Developer certification (one semester online course) within 2 years from the start date of your employment.
9. Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
