The Weyburn and District United Way is seeking applicants for the position of executive director. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, a person who is able to manage their time accordingly, and appropriately represent the United Way brand. The Executive Director contract may include owning certain office equipment (computer, printer, telephone), and office space in a home office setting.
Were looking for someone who can:
manage the day-to-day operations of the Weyburn and District United Way non-profit
organization in an efficient and professional manner
serve as an ex-officio member of all committees as recording secretary and/or advisor
maintain proper financial records of organization transactions
maintain efficient filing system of minutes and correspondence
will work closely with United Way president to full direction of Board of Directors
ensure the Member Agencies receive their quarterly Allocation payment
distribute required information of Payroll Deduction forms to businesses
Qualifications:
financial knowledge, and accounting skills to provide the official donation receipts for donors, to provide the appropriate reports to Canada Revenue Agency, to distribute a monthly financial report to the board of directors, and to manage the finances of the Weyburn United Way
secretarial skills to distribute minutes, meeting reminders to the board
computer skills to manage the United Way website, Facebook page, and able to create on-line forms to facilitate applications, year-end reports and volunteer applications
communication skills, to act as a liaison between United Way Canada and the local United Way, including tracking the requirements for membership
