Duties include:
- Supervision of and leadership to finance staff.
- Preparation and timely delivery of financial reports.
- Budget planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
- Establishing financial controls and procedures for the Agency that build a climate of accountability and which ensure overall effective and efficient financial management.
- Providing leadership and support to the Management Team and Board of Directors related to personnel management in areas such as human resource policy, wage and salary classification, staff development and training, and staff performance evaluation.
- Providing leadership to the Agency in the negotiation and management of contracts with government and third party organizations such as contractors.
- Leadership in developing, implementing and evaluating the Agency's strategic and business planning initiatives.
- Providing creative leadership to the Agency in managing the organizational changes required in a dynamic economic and political climate.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in commerce or public administration with CPA/CGA designation or equivalent, and a minimum of five years of related experience in a senior managerial role.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making ability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced work environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Sage 300.
- Knowledge of Woodland Cree language, culture, political and social objectives of PBCN First Nation.
