Description

Under the direction of the Manager of Settlement Community Support Services, you will involve the community in the work of the Society by informing and educating the mainstream community members and by working with volunteers and clients in the society's programming. You will assist immigrants to become independent and self-sufficient by facilitating volunteer recruitment, orientation and training for various programs and specifically for Host matches, volunteer led conversation circles and other activities.

**Candidates under consideration will be required to participate in an assessment process of interview and computer testing.

**Education and Experience:

-Graduation from a post secondary program in the social sciences, humanities or communications, and one year of experience working in a community development or public relations or volunteer management role, or
-Equivalent to one year of post secondary training in the above noted field and three years of experience working in a community development or volunteer management role.
-Plus one year of experience working as a volunteer in a human service capacity.

**Required Licenses and/or Certificates:

-Certificate in Volunteer Management  Level 1.
-Canadian Police Information Center (CPIC) certification including Vulnerable Sector Search - no criminal record (done within last three months).
-Holds a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle for travel purposes.
