The Saskatchewan Ministry of Government Relations is seeking a motivated professional community planner with superior problem solving, analytical and communications skills to work in the Community Planning Branch in Saskatoon.
Reporting to the Director of Community Planning, the successful candidate will analyze planning proposals, bylaws and subdivision applications for compliance with provincial interests and planning standards; ensure integrated inter-ministry approaches to community development, sustainable infrastructure and land use planning; and consult with organizations and agencies on development issues and policies.
Typically, the knowledge and abilities required for this position will be obtained by the completion of a degree in planning or a related field, combined with several years of land use planning experience at a provincial or municipal level. You will possess membership or eligibility for Full or Candidate membership in the Saskatchewan Professional Planners Institute and the Canadian Institute of Planners.
