Description

The Mtis Addictions Council of Saskatchewan Inc., better known as MACSI, is a non-profit community based provincial organization that has a long history of serving the people of Saskatchewan for over 45 years. MACSI operates three facilities throughout the province of Saskatchewan with locations in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and Regina.
Responsibilities for the position include the following:
1.    Prepares food in accordance to a standardized menu with the flexibility of altering the menu based on inventory.
2.    Ensuring safe food handling practises are being used at all times when operating in the kitchen
3.    Ensuring the highest quality sanitation and cleanliness standards are being met in the kitchen, refrigeration, storage, and dining areas at all times.
4.    Portion and serve food to clients within the centre.
5.    Responsible for tracking food inventory levels and being able to plan ahead for ordering food supplies through an online food delivery service.
6.    Clean, cut, and cook meat, fish, or poultry.
7.    Work within a defined food budget and adjust meals to stay in compliance with set limits
8.    Responsible for communicating and documenting food service expectations in the kitchen communication book to Addiction Worker staff during the evenings and weekends.
9.    Food preparation activities such as slicing, chopping, and grating, etc.  
10.    Responsible for the preparation of all lunch and dinner meals throughout the week, including weekends and stat holidays.
11.    Responsible for delivering special dietary restrictions to eligible clients.
12.    Coordinating and preparing food for special events and activities.

13.    Prepare a variety of baked goods and pastries for clients throughout the day.
14.    Ensuring that foodservice equipment is working properly and direct any concerns to the appropriate person.
15.    Provide a warm, home-like, environment for the clients and assist them with any related inquiries they may have.
