The Inter-Action Project Community Outreach Worker will work in collaboration with the Project Manager to drive the successful implementation of Inter-Actions project. Below are the key responsibilities;
Serve as a point of contact for all community mobilization activities such as community liaison, follow-up management, and data gathering
Mobilize and educate members of specific communities on the objectives of the Inter-Action project and the need or benefits of participating in the community initiative throughout the project lifecycle
Participate in the data collection related to the Inter-Action Project
Follow-up with community discussion participants in a specific community group on any information the research team may require post community discussions
Link the Inter-Action research team to the communities
Participate in supporting the Inter-Action project activities in the specific community assigned in the context of ensuring they are implemented according to work plan and time.
Work closely with and support volunteers to ensure they carry out their duties professionally for distributions, training, and data gathering
Actively participate in team meetings and any external meetings as designated by line management
Any other duties assigned by the project manager
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Requirements:
An undergraduate degree or a combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience and on-the-job training;
Proficiency in the use of the English and French languages is definitely an asset
Demonstrated facilitation experience with a variety of audiences (including adults and youth) and methodologies on topics such as cultural diversity, intercultural communications, anti-racism, and equity;
Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills with a demonstrated welcoming, respectful approach to interactions
