Facility: Brief and Social Detox
Job Description: AS THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO PROVIDE FIRST CONTACT AND INTAKE SERVICES TO ADULTS AND ADOLESCENTS AFFECTED BY SUBSTANCE ABUSE. THIS WILL INCLUDE SCREENING AND ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES, DELIVERING INFORMATIVE DYNAMIC GROUP WORKSHOPS, DEVELOPING COMMUNITY AWARENESS AND INVOLVEMENT, CASE AND FILE MANAGEMENT. YOU WILL BE WORKING COLLABORATIVELY WITH OTHER PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY GROUPS TO PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES TO A SPECIFIC CLIENT POPULATION.
Required Qualifications
Chemical Dependency diploma
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Counseling skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Knowledge of the health region and community resources
Case management skills
Other Information
Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
Knowledge of Methadone Assisted Recovery Services and Saskatchewan Health Methadone guidelines is preferred.

In a 4 week rotation: 1 shift of 8.00 hours, 12 shifts of 11.78 hours
