Welder Helper

You are a part of the bigger picture and an integral part to our high-quality standards! Our Welder Helpers are grind and chip weld slag from fabricated piece parts while staying in compliance with strict specifications.

Your Objective:

    In addition to grinding and chipping, you will work closely with our knowledgeable Welders to learn basic welding concepts and applications
    Welder Helpers may have opportunity for long-term career development if they:
        Have a strong work-ethic
        Are recognized by peers & supervision as competent & dependable and
        Consistently meets or exceeds expectations

Success Requires:

    Ability to take instructions & a strong willingness to learn the welding trade.
    Demonstrated positive attitude, initiative, the ability to work well with others & minimal supervision
    2 to 3 years' labourer experience
    A grade twelve diploma or equivalent is a requirement
    Related trade certificate or courses from a recognized post-secondary institution is beneficial
    Must have mechanical abilities & experience using measuring instruments
    Ability to read blueprints & diagrams an asset
    Forklift & Crane experience is an asset
