Summer Student JobThe Town of Indian Head invites applications from post-secondary students for a seasonal Parks and Green Space Maintenance position. The job will begin in May and run until the end of August. Duties include:
grass cutting and trimming
weeding of flowerbeds
garbage pickup within parks
sunbeam creek trail maintenance such as weeding, painting and repair of benches and picnic tables
pruning of trees
other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Essential Skills
- Oral communication
- Working with others
- Problem solving
- Continuous learning
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Driver's licence
Specific Skills
- Operate various equipment and machinery
- Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment
- Clean and maintain sidewalks, streets, roads and public grounds
- Assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or truck
Work Setting
- Municipal government
