Description

We are looking to fill the role of Finance Manager  Accounting and Receivables at our head office located in Yorkton, SK.  This role is responsible for the management and administration of the accounts receivable and collection processes.  In this position you will have 7 direct reports. You will hire qualified and capable personnel and provide leadership through training, mentoring, and performance feedback.

Typical Accountabilities
- Accountable for planning and scheduling month-end, quarter-end and annual required activities.
- Establishes, maintains and evaluates the corporations Credit Policy ensuring the credit policy is aligned with the business metrics necessary for the financial health of the organization.
- Manages account treatment and collection process to ensure both effective use of resources and achievement of required business metrics.
- Develops, operates and continually evaluates financial controls to ensure the accurate and timely processing of customer payments and the accurate/timely deposit of corporate funds.
- Manages all banking and cash transactions including critical/urgent payments.
- Resolves accounting issues including bank transactions, clearing processes, foreign currency and appropriate account reconciliations.
- Manages relationships with financial institutions regarding overall financial requirements.
- Responsible for monitoring cash flows including long and short- term projections.

Qualifications
- University Degree or accounting designation or two-year diploma in accounting/business administration with a minimal of five years experience in a related financial management field.
- Previous experience in collections.
- Knowledge of banking processes, financial risk management and related theory and practice.
- Solid comprehension of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting principles (GAAP).
