Churchill Community High School Daycare is seeking a permanent full time Early Childhood Educator. CCHS Daycare is a 32 space facility. The ECEs primary duty is to provide quality care in all areas of development in order to maintain the well-being of the children. The Early Childhood Educator is responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate program for the children in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will be able to perform the following:
Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the program.
Ensure equipment and childcare room is clean and sanitized daily, well maintained and safe at all times.
Develop culturally appropriate programs and activities.
Ensure children are supervised at all times.
Provide various experiences and activities for children including songs, games and storytelling.
Establish routines and provide positive guidance.
Provide a safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable in.
Implement positive discipline when required.
Clearly and effectively communicate in a manner that the children understand.
Keep parents informed of program expectations, program activities and their childrens progress.
Other duties as assigned by Director
The successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
Early Childhood Education Training or the commitment to take the necessary training
Must have Valid Class 5 Drivers License and own vehicle
Maintain a current CPR and First aid
Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrate positive attitude, leadership skills and be a role model for all staff
Have a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check
