Position and Responsibilities
As part of the business technology services (BTS) corporate applications team, you will work with various business units at Cameco in order to translate their informational needs into technical solutions. You will provide timely responses to end-user queries concerning all aspects of business applications. You will be expected to manage multiple work streams including project, service, maintenance and analysis.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the application lifecycle, including business requirements analysis, design, development, testing and deployment, while following Cameco BTS processes. You will be an expert in your field and maintain your knowledge base as it relates to the position. You will be expected to participate in application development activities for business intelligence, information management and business process automation while applying best practices for design, performance and usability.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
Bachelors degree in computer science or a related discipline
At least two years of experience implementing application systems
Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
Proficiency in application development technologies such as ABAP, .NET, Java EE OR SQL
Experience in mobile app development
Self-driven and capable of working in a complex team environment
Able to organize work and take ownership of assigned tasks
Excellent interpersonal skills
Assets:
Three additional years of applicable experience
Experience working in a LEAN and AGILE work environment
Work history involving legacy application modernization, web and mobile development, data migration and integration
Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP ERP, HANA, FIORI, Portal and BusinessObjects
