Under the supervision of and reporting to the Administrator or designated supervisor, the Assisted Living Aide performs specific cooking duties, prepares food for service; performs Dietary Aide duties i.e.: performs non-cooking functions of meal preparation; serves food and beverages, maintains organization and cleanliness of Food Services Department, and restocks Food Services supplies; performs cleaning duties in a safe, efficient manner including the cleaning of all public areas i.e. dining room, chapel, entrances, sitting areas, halls, and public bathrooms, and keeping housekeeping equipment and supplies in good order; and assists residents with social, emotional, recreational and spiritual needs.
Qualifications needed: Clean Criminal Record Check, Current Food Handlers Certificate or willingness to obtain, Current WHMIS Certificate or willingness to obtain. Previous experience in a food service preferred. Previous experience working with the elderly is an asset.
