Description

Yorkton Tribal Administration Inc. is in looking for a dedicated finance technician to incorporate their strengths with our current Finance Technicians strengths to achieve YTC'S goal of a efficient Finance Department.  
The Finance Technician is responsible for providing financial/administrative & clerical services in order to ensure effective/efficient & accurate financial/administrative operations. The Finance Technician must comply with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Yorkton Tribal Administration Inc Acts, policies and procedures. The Finance Technician must have post-secondary education which includes accounting and have at least 2 years of recent and successful employment experience within an office administration environment with exposure to financial processes and procedures.
If you have experience completing day to day financial transactions and providing financial clerical support we would like to hear from you.  The general duties that may be required from you depending on your strengths would be processing and monitoring payments/expenditures/processing & monitoring receipts & revenues/preparing and paying purchase orders/preparing and monitoring the payroll system.  
Must understand a First Nations employment environment/general knowledge of a Tribal Councils mandate would be an asset.
Must be willing to work some overtime during the Finance Department Peak Cycle Periods
Must have a valid driver's licence and maintain throughout employment
