Description

As part of  a team, reporting to the project lead, to support client/end users, through problem identification insure timely, safe, cost effective deployment of identified solutions.
Duties: To install Software and Hardware; Trouble shoot system failures (hardware, software, or environmental); To configure major operating systems software in preparation for testing; Replacement and testing of parts; Log all work and report conclusions; Deal with client/end users over phone or in person; May be required to provide shipping and receiving support.  This will include, unless otherwise specified: the tracing of late shipments; the initiating and tracking of RMAs (Returned Merchandise Authorizations); receiving of equipment/software required for ongoing projects/repairs
Requirements (to determine wage range and responsibilities): Sales or customer support experience (1-2 years) and exhibit good to excellent communication skills in English; Working knowledge of  major Operating Systems, Networking Protocols/Equipment and current Software Applications (for example Microsoft Office Suite); Information systems specific Certifications: A+, Cisco, Microsoft, HP, Xerox, and Lexmark (beneficial but not required); Printer repair experience (1-2 years)advantageous; Strong interest and a willingness to learn new techniques.
Special Requirements:Bondable or provide police/security check; Valid drivers license with good driving record; Willing to travel to job sites and work in varying working conditions (noisy, dusty, professional, etc.) where appropriate work attire (PPE) may be required; Appearance and dress must be clean and neat.  Personal grooming and hygiene are important in a retail/support  environment. Use of strong perfumes/colognes may be offensive to the customer and should not be worn (lighter scented after shaves and colognes may be an exception)
