Automotive Assembly Technician

(Ballistic Spall Liner Specialization)

(2 positions available)

Our Assembly Technicians are responsible for following work order instructions and specifications in order to accurately and timely install ballistic spall liners.  The incumbent is also responsible for the care and maintenance of equipment and tools used.  Providing assistance to other production areas (i.e. with installation of mechanical controls and electrical wiring) may be required.

Your Objective:

Install ballistic spal liners

Check production product & material to ensure compliance with tolerance/quality standards

Utilize required measuring instruments - tape measure, micrometer

Read blueprints and production drawings

Recognize and provide recommendations for process improvements

Keep work area clean and organized

Success Requires:

Related trades courses, certificate or diploma from a recognized post-secondary school is a requirement.

3 plus years' experience in an automotive assembly or repair environment.

Ability to use measurement tools; read and work with production work orders, blueprints, and diagrams

Initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Forklift and Crane experience is an asset
