CNC MACHINIST

Our CNC Machinists are responsible for operating manual and CNC Lathe and Milling machines and all saw equipment.  This includes the set-up of jigs & equipment and the machining of required parts to specifications and tolerances indicated on production drawings and work orders. Our Machinists are also responsible for the care and maintenance of equipment and tools used.

Your Objective:

Download CNC Programs; set up and operate CNC machines with fixtures and tooling as outlined on set-up sheets.
Load raw materials and machine parts to specifications and tolerances indicated on shop drawings and blue prints
Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
Perform routine preventative maintenance; clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment.
Success Requires:

A grade twelve diploma or equivalent is a requirement
Completion of the Machinist pre-employment, Level 2 or 3 apprenticeship courses from SaskPolytech a significant asset
2 to 3 years' related CNC machine operator experience
Ability to use measurement tools; read and work with production work orders, blueprints, and diagrams
Initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision
