Job Description: The Continuous Improvement Lead is responsible for facilitating, coaching, and supporting strategic priorities and process improvement activities throughout the Agency. The position greatly influences the success of organization-wide process improvement activities and the attainment of organizational goals through facilitation of continuous improvement activities including Rapid Process Improvement Workshops, improvement events, mistake proofing projects, value stream mapping, 5S and Kanban activities, daily visual management, and standard work development.
The position also leads the development and implementation of the continuous improvement education and certification programs for the Agency and/or the supportive infrastructure for all continuous improvement activities across the Agency. The position shares teaching assignments, leads the coordination, delivery, maintenance, and document control of the Lean training and certification programs, and ensures consistent application of methodology and tools including documentation for all continuous improvement activities. The position acts as a coach and liaison between the Strategy and Continuous Improvement department (SCI) and the organizations senior leaders for building continuous improvement capacity and scheduling of continuous improvement events.
The role also performs various other SCI duties in coordinating, supporting, and ensuring the rigorous application of all Lean concepts, tools and methodologies to support the implementation of the Saskatchewan Healthcare Management System.
