- Operator Prerequisites
o Excavator
o 1A
- 3 Years Experience
Outline Responsibilities
- Working and taking direction from foreman, responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include:
o Excavators
o Dozers
o Loaders
- Position will require ability to travel to communities as required.
- Responsibilities
o Ensure safety and quality on a constant basis
o Ability to follow site plans
o Operate heavy equipment on a safe and efficient way per all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
o Perform safety and maintenance checks
o Clean heavy equipment as required
o Safely / securely store heavy equipment
o Advise supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repairs
Requirements
- Class 5 license, class 1 license with air brakes considered asset
- Operators certificate from licensed service provider
Skills
- Minimum 3 years of extensive experience operating excavator
o Some experience on crawler tractors and loaders considered an asset
