Description

Huskys Heavy Oil & Gas business unit is seeking a Thermal Maintenance Mechanical Lead on a 1 year contract starting as soon as possible, with a possibility of extension. Routine mechanical maintenance includes:
Pipefitting
Welding
Gas Fitting
General labour
Millwright services

RESPONSIBILITIES:
General labour includes, but is not limited to the following activities
Equipment isolations
Removing/replacing equipment
Rotaflex support
Transporting equipment/material
Aerial platform and picker work
Site clean-up

These activities include but are not limited to:
Hazard assessments
Risk assessments
Incident investigations
Meetings
Permitting
Task list creation, review and optimization
Resource deployment
Work close-out activities

Contractor hourly rates are inclusive of truck use, fuel, maintenance, insurance, PPE, and certification costs
Pikes Peak South Thermal is located near Waseca, SK, which is approximately 42kms from Lloydminster
The working schedule is expected to be Monday to Friday, 8.5 hours per day with expectation that they will be available for after-hours call-out work
The contractor will not be paid-on call, but will be compensated at an OT rate for call-out work

MUST HAVES:
A minimum 5 years of general Mechanical Maintenance experience within Oil & Gas
An active Journeymen millwright or pipefitter ticket
Strong Computer and Microsoft Office skills
Active Certificates:
o First Aid / CPR
o H2S Alive
o SABA / SCBA fit testing certification
o Confined Space Entry
o Gas Detection
Demonstrated safety consciousness and able to promote a culture of safety
Highly organized, trustworthy, and an individual who takes initiative
Strong communication and collaboration skills

NICE TO HAVES:
Previous leadership experience
Experience within SAPs PM module
