BASIC PURPOSE:
To ensure that the Bourgault team, dealer network and customer base is educated on the most current agronomic information with respect to crop production.
DUTIES:
To conduct presentations and training.
To produce agronomic documents for industry education and awareness.
Participation and networking at field days, agricultural conferences, trade shows and professional development events.
To provide input into new product development.
Development of in-depth agronomic field research and demonstration sites at various North American locations.
Participate in the operation and management of the Bourgault corporate farm.
Investigation of agronomy related customer issues and concerns.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
B. Sc. Agriculture and member of the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists.
Strong public relation skills.
Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
Self-motivated team player.
The ability to work to high standards to conduct, analyse and document agronomic research.
A broad understanding of modern farming practices, including customer needs and wants.
Experience in broad acre grain farming.
Must possess a solid understanding of Bourgault equipment and the role it plays in modern farming production of all major crops.
Willingness and ability to travel within Canada and internationally.
A Saskatchewan Class 1A Drivers License.
