Description

David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with various clients for on-going Millwright opportunities in and around the Saskatoon area.

The Role:

Responsible for safely and effectively repairing, installing, troubleshooting  and maintaining production equipment
Perform regular Work Orders and account for inventory and labour on a computerized maintenance program- SAP.
Mechanical knowledge of power transmission, pneumatics, hydraulics & electronics. Be able to read and understand Mechanical and Electrical drawings/schematics.
Machining and fabricating for equipment repairs and/or upgrades.
Welding of equipment or part repair. Understand and adhere to all plant Safety Policies and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Supplying all pertinent documents and reports, as may be required by management or the government, in an accurate and legible format.
Ensure compliance with GMP, Quality Regulations, SOPs, 5S and other pertinent policies, procedures and legislation.
Maintain a safe work area and support health & safety programs.

The Ideal Candidate:

A valid Industrial Mechanic Millwright license in the province of Saskatchewan  Red Seal.
Shop experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic packaging equipment.
Good mathematical, mechanical aptitude, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Ability to identify, problem solve and research alternatives within the scope of the job.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team based environment.
