Description

Under the supervision of the Director of Social Program, the ADSP will provide support to the Director, as well as caseworkers and other staff in the associated programs.

Duties
Oversight of Community Outreach and Supported Independent Living programs
Financial
Meeting program outcome measures and contract compliance
Budget planning and oversight for programs assigned

Operational
Liaise with funding partners and stakeholders as required
Weekly and emergency staff scheduling
Supervision of staff
Case management support & oversight
Assist with complex case plans for youth
Make referrals, complete screening and placements for youth in the programs
Strategic planning and development of new ideas/programs, including writing grant applications
Completing various reporting & contract compliance documents

Administrative/Human Resources
Coordinate overall staffing within assigned programs
Mentoring/coaching of staff
Assist in hiring process, performance reviews & discipline
Provide orientation for new staff
Plan and implement ongoing training
Review all staff timesheets
Support in Branch office oversight
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Experience in a supervisor/management role
Experience managing staff in a unionized environment
Compliance with the designated Risk Management policies of National JHS
First Aid/CPR
Suicide Intervention training
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
Food Safety training
Valid drivers license
Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector check

Knowledge/Skills
Understanding and commitment to the mission, vision, & core values of the JHS
Knowledge of risk factors and protective factors of marginalized persons
Working knowledge and experience in a community outreach program, specifically with vulnerable youth
Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
Exceptional writing and case management skills
Demonstrated ability to maintain positive relationships
