Description

The Activity Leaders tasks involve planning the day-to-day activities and supervision of children, ages 0  8 years, attending the Child Minding Services at the Servus Sports Centre.  The Activity Leader will maintain a safe and clean environment.

The Activity Leader will:
    Be a Camp Leader for sport related programming.
    Get active with youth ages 5  12 and show a passion for sports and movement.
    Over-see the downtime activities and ensure the safety and well-being of the participants during the camps.
    Provide coverage for the Visitor Service Attendants on occasion by directing and assisting the facilitys patrons and visitors by collecting admissions, completing program registrations, and providing information about the facility.
    Other related duties from time to time.

Schedule:
This position works from 4:30  9:00 pm two to three times a week and/ or Saturdays from 8:45 am  1:00 pm.  This position requires on-call shifts.  

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
    Be neat in appearance and in good physical condition.
    Creative, outgoing, and be a positive role model for the children.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Proven ability to effectively and tactfully deal with the public.
    Previous experience with children is a requirement.
    Sport coaching experience is an asset.
    Possess basic computer skills.
    Possess a valid Standard First Aid CPR-C certificate.

Offer will be contingent upon receiving a satisfactory Criminal Record Check including a Vulnerable Sector check prior to the start date.
