Description

HI-TEC PROFILES Inc is a continuously growing steel processing plant in Regina, Saskatchewan.  We are in search of an outgoing, energetic person to represent the company in a cordial and professional manner.  

Reporting directly to the President the Purchaser will be in direct contact with various steel & freight companies across North America securing pricing and firm delivery of all inventory and misc cost of goods.
Job Duties:
- Verifies purchase requisitions from Sales staff, clarifying unclear items and recommending alternatives.
-Preparing purchase orders by verifying specifications and price, obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval.
-Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers, monitoring and expediting orders.
-Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
-Authorizes payment for purchases by signing off and forwarding receiving paperwork with matching invoice to Accounts Payable.
-Provides purchasing planning and control of inventory information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends.  
-Works with Shipping Department to secure freight logistics on outgoing material to customers.
Qualifications:
Would prefer, but willing to train the right individual, a minimum of 3 years experience in Purchasing is a must...Supply Management, Vendor Relationships and exceptional Organizational skills..
Hours of work are Monday  Friday 8:00am  5:00pm with an hour for lunch between 12:00pm and 1:00pm.  During month ends and year ends vacation time may or may not be granted.  You are an invaluable part of this process.
